Initial Impressions

The Desk Pets Trekbot RC is an intriguing little vehicle with just two wheels, about 2 1/2" in diameter. They're side by side and use a so-called "hubless" design with no spokes. The whole thing looks a lot like the Hailfire Droid tank from the Star Warsfranchise. This one has no weapons, though, just two LED light "eyes" to give it a little personality.
The Trekbot has a built-in, non-removable, rechargeable battery. The keyfob-sized controller has a charging jack that you plug into the vehicle, but the controller doesn't actually provide any charging services, it's just an adapter. You insert a retractable plug at the other end of the controller into a USB port on a computer or other device, and that's where actual charging power comes from. If the Trekbot was run until it stopped completely, it can take up to 1/2 hour to recharge.

Testing
The Trekbot has simple forward/back and left/right controls. What's unusual is that when you push a button to make it go, it just keeps going until you push a center "stop" button. This makes things a little easier on your fingers (or, more likely, a thumb) and allows the controller's batteries to last practically forever, but it takes a little time to get used to it if you're familiar with more standard controls on other RCs.
The Trekbot's motion is interesting to watch since it's a very uncommon vehicle design. The wheels have very thin solid rubber tires around the circumference, and these get good traction on a variety of surfaces. Surprisingly, the Trekbot can successfully travel over pretty rough medium-pile carpeting since the diameter of the wheels is so large. I worried about fuzz getting stuck in the gears, but the gear teeth are so large that they don't easily trap small debris. Of course it's important to not let stuff build up in there, especially hair, but just the ability to romp around on carpet at all makes it more versatile than many other small, inexpensive RC toys.

Conclusion

The Desk Pets Trekbot is a cool novelty toy. It's very simple, has an intriguing design, and is more capable than I expected. The USB charging setup makes it a very inexpensive little thing to run over the long haul. I rate it just one tick lower than the related Skitterbot because it costs 1/3rd more as of this writing for what I feel is a similar level of fun.

GearBest Alien XK X250 FPV Camera Quadcopter with FPV Monitor Review

GearBest Alien XK X250 FPV Camera Quadcopter with FPV Monitor Review

The Gearbest Alien XK X250 attracted me to it because of its red and yellow bar lights which I though would be good for night flying and they are! But reviews require I cover all aspects of the quadcopter and that means checking out the camera for FPV, video and stills and also investigating any and all claims made in the literature about what the copter can do. I have to admit that while it is not perfect it supplies a lot of good stuff for under $70 which was the price when I wrote this review.
This copter proved to be able to fly surprisingly fast for being a brushed motor toy grade quadcopter. It has several things to help with orientation and all proved to be helpful in different flying conditions. The red and yellow LEDs were of course very helpful at night and in the daytime when flying the Alien X250 close to myself. On sunny days the red propellers in front and the slight vertical "stabilizer" in back were helpful when flying the Alien away from myself but on cloudy gray days it was the little vertical "stabilizer" bump in back that was most helpful along with seeing on the monitor which way the camera was facing by the image shown on the monitor screen. The combination of all of these kept me surprisingly well oriented with such a small quadcopter when I was flying it 50 or so yards away.

Hisky HFP100 V2 4CH 6 Axis Gyro Flybarless RC Helicopter BNF

Hisky HFP100 V2 4CH 6 Axis Gyro Flybarless RC Helicopter BNF

Hisky HFP100 V2 4CH 6 Axis Gyro Flybarless RC Helicopter BNF

Welcome to my quick review on the HiSKY HFP100 v2 6-axis helicopter
Available to buy from Banggood as a BNF for around $35 or a RTF kit for around $60

I bought the BNF version as I already have a Devo 7E with NRF240L module installed to fly my HiSKY birds.
Speaking of which, my HiSKY fleet. From the left- HFP80 / HCP80 in esky nano fuse / HFP100 v2 / HFP100 v1 in esky nano fuse / HCP100

Included batteries are 25c instead of 15c
Control board is new and horizontal instead of vertical like the v1
New yellow colour canopy which is thinner & lighter at 1.53g vs 1.84g for the red v1 canopy
Tail stab seems a bit more flexible
Servo wires are longer

Other than that it all seems to be the same, same mainframe, skids and tail etc.

1st Flights
Binding it to my Devo 7e was nice and quick, quicker than the 3 axis birds and I notice that the servos are now still and quiet unlike the 3 axis Hisky birds where they are constantly centering.
Once airborne it's nice and compared to the 3 axis ones pretty easy to fly, think v911 but faster and more agile with no flybar getting in the way.
Pirouettes are nice and clean and no input other than the rudder was needed, it's quick to react and easy to put it where you want it.

It is however, as with the V1 a touch underpowered and so needs a bit of height to recover as it will not punch out with full throttle, that's my only real complaint about this heli and a shame that hisky carried it over from the V1.

during my 2nd flying session I flew it into a bush, no damage but the tail rotor did pop off and I found after putting it back on it that it can be pushed on too far which causes it bind against the motor housing, so that's something to be aware of as it's a sure fire way to kill the tail fet by jamming the tail.

Conclusion
I hesitate to say this is a v911 killer as it costs a bit more at $65 for the RTF kit, but if your willing to buy into the HiSKY brand, which would be no bad thing, then this is definitely the perfect 1st helicopter and perfect stepping stone to the more advanced and challenging HiSKY helicopters and if you already fly some hisky birds then you might want to consider this as a lazy day flyer or as a candidate for a scale mod using the esky nano canopy or similar.
For a newbie my recommendation would be to buy the BNF helicopter and either the X-6S or H-6 transmitter, that way you would have a Tx that can fly any of the HiSKY birds, both 4 and 6 Channel.

Pros
Good price
Very stable and easy to fly
Durable airframe
Perfect to learn on or just for a nice lazy flying session
Cheap spares

Cons
Protective film still on canopy
Charger charges at 0.35a (ok) on one side and at 0.55a (not ok) on the other?!
A little bit underpowered
Tail blade easy to push on too far and bind
